BlenderArt Magazine

A opensource tool is always just as good as its documentation. Blender has a very good wiki at [link] and ther is also a magazine, which is normally released every 2 months. I learned a lot from the tutorials. It is completely free and you can download all issues in a *.zip file including the tutorial files. Have a look at [link]

I'm almost 27 years old. Born in a little town in West Germany; close to the Netherland Border. Right now I'm working in France.

I was always fascinated by Stop-Motion movies like 'Jasson and the Argonauts' or 'Clash of the Titans'. So I wanted to do something like this. I came in touch with Maya first. So on the PLE 4.5 I did my first Walking-Steps. But to do really complete short movies I had to switch to a software with not so a huge price. Blender is now my App of choice and even if I would have the money for Maya or XSI, i wouldn't change.

I want to work out a approx. 2 minutes short movie, which will keep me busy for the next 1 or 2 years. I'm working on a low cost notebook right now. But I'm looking forward to get a MacPro, espacially when I see what the rendering times are right now and what they will be when more things get finished.

Hallo!
